In Italy, the initial broadcast of this series as I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco was only a partial broadcast. Later broadcasts of the series also were under the name Il ritorno dei Cavalieri dello Zodiaco.

This series is continued by several oav series, then by Saint Seiya Omega (2012).
